Our museum takes you back to a time of 150 million years ago. At that time, the region around the Altmühl Valley was largely covered with water, from which small islands rose. The climate was warm and tropical. Today, the fantastically preserved fossils from the Solnhofen Platy Limestones bear witness to the rich diversity of life during the Jurassic period. They bring the past back to life in our museum!
